Thirupanandhaal:

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Thaadagai, belonging to Asura clan (not the Thaadagai from Ramayana) worshipped the Lord of Thirupanandhaal (Chensadaiyappar) daily with the flower garland. One day, while worshipping the Lord with the flower garland her top dress was about to be displaced. Either she had to keep the garland down or she had to adjust her cloth to avoid embarrassment. To show the greatness of her devotion, Lord Shiva bent the head of the Lingam down so that she could put garland around the Lingam easily. Since Lord Shiva made the world know about the greatness of Thaadagai's devotion, this temple in which Chensadaiyappar resides is called Thaadagai Eecharam.

After the head of the Lingam got bent, none could straighten it. But Kungliya kaliya Nayanar, one of the 63 nayanmars tied a rope to his neck and the other end to the head of the Lingam. Lord Shiva on seeing the pure devotion of Nayanar straightened the head of Lingam.
