இறைவனது திருவடிகளை விரும்ப வேண்டும்

 திருவாசகம் -- யாத்திரைப் பத்து -- பாடல் 2:

புகவே வேண்டா புலன்களில்நீர்‌ 

புயங்கப்‌ பெருமான்‌ பூங்கழல்கள்‌

மிகவே நினைமின்‌ மிக்கவெல்லாம்‌ வேண்டா போக விடுமின்கள்‌ 

நகவே ஞாலத்‌ துள்புகுந்து 

நாயே அனைய நமையாண்ட 

தகவே யுடையான்‌ தனைச்சாரத்‌ 

தளரா திருப்பார்‌ தாந்தாமே.

உலகில்‌🌏 எழுந்தருளி நாயைப்‌🐕 போன்ற நம்மை ஆட்கொண்ட பெருமையையுடைய இறைவனை அடைந்தால்‌ அவரவர்‌ தளர்ச்சி நீங்கி இருப்பார்கள்‌. ஆதலின்‌ அடியவர்களே! நீங்கள்‌ ஐம்புல👁👂🏻👅 விடயங்களில்‌ செல்ல வேண்டா. பாம்பணிந்த பெருமானுடைய தாமரை மலரை ஒத்த திருவடிகளை மிகுதியாக நினையுங்கள்‌.

எஞ்சியவையெல்லாம்‌ நமக்கு வேண்டா. அவைகளை நம்மிடத்திலிருந்து நீங்கும்படி விட்டு விடுங்கள்‌ என்று மாணிக்கவாசகர் கூறுகிறார்.

Have intense desire for Lord Shiva's holy feet

Enter no more the juggling senses’ net ! 

     BUYANGAN’s flow'ry feet, the mighty Lord, 

Ponder intensely,—other things desire ye not: 

    dismiss them, let them go, and pass ye on! 

With joyous smile He, entering this world, 

    made us—who were like curs impure—His own. 

As it befits to draw anigh the Lord, 

    let each with no weak faltering step move on!

Manickavasagar says that Lord Shiva has entered this world and made us  his own. So he tells us not to go in the way of five senses but to think intensely of Lord Shiva's holy feet. Except his holy feet, let us all leave other things aside and move on.

By this Manickavasagar tells us to intensely desire for Lord Shiva's holy feet.

Lord Shiva arriving in the form of a Brahmin

 Thirukkurukavur Thirumurai Hymn - The Hymn starts with the line 'Ithanai yaamaatrai arindhilaen emberumaan'.

This hymn was sung by Sundarar (one of the 4 great saints of Shaivism)

Sundarar, along with the devotees of Lord Shiva, were going to Sirkazhi temple. But on the way, hunger and thirst worried them😔. So Lord Shiva arrived in the form of a Brahmin, created a watershed and provided them food and water. Sundarar ate the food and slept😴. During that time, Lord Shiva disappeared along with the water shed. After waking up, Sundarar realized this and sang the above hymn in praise of God.

இறைவன், அந்தணராக வருதல்:

 "திருக்குருகாவூர்‌(வெள்ளடை) திருமுறை பதிகம்‌"

"இத்தனை யாமாற்றை அறிந்திலேன்‌ எம்பெருமான்‌" எனத்‌ தொடங்கும்‌ திருப்பதிகம்‌ -"சுந்தரமூர்த்தி சுவாமிகள்‌" அருளிச்செய்தது. 

சுந்தரர்‌ தனது தொண்டர்‌ கூட்டத்துடன்‌ சீர்காழியிலிருந்து இவ்வூருக்கு எழுந்தருளுகையில்‌ தாகமும்‌, பசியும்‌ அவரையும்‌ அவர்‌ தொண்டர்‌ கூட்டத்தினரையும்‌ வருத்திற்று😞. இறைவர்‌ அந்தணர்‌ உருவம்‌ கொண்டு வழியில்‌ தண்ணீர்ப்பந்தல்‌ ஏற்படுத்தி அவர்களுக்குத்‌ தண்ணீரும்‌ கட்டமுதும்‌🍚 அளித்தார்‌. சுந்தரர்‌ உண்டு உறங்குகையில்‌😴 இறைவர்‌ பந்தலோடு மறைந்தருளினார்‌. சுந்தரர்‌ தூக்கத்தினின்று எழுந்து "இத்தனையாமாற்றை யறிந்திலேன்‌" எனத்‌ தொடங்கும்‌ பதிகம்பாடி கோயிலுக்குச்சென்று இறைவனை வழிபட்டார்‌.

அடியாரை வணங்குதல் (Worship the devotees)

என்றும் சிவபெருமானை மட்டும் வணங்காமல், அவரின் திருவடிகளையே எப்பொழுதும் நினைத்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கும் அடியார்களையும் பணிவுடன் வணங்குவோமாக!
