THIRUVASAGAM -- The Sacred Lily Flowers -- Song 1:
***********
(The following verses are taken from G.U Pope's English translation of THIRUVASAGAM)
His sacred Feet,- the twain, - soon as upon my head He placed,
Help of encircling friends, - the whole, - I utterly renounced;
In Tillai's court begirt with guarded streams, in mystic dance
He moves. That Raftsman glory SING AND PLUCK THE LILY-FLOWERS!
***********
⭐EXPLANATION⭐:
Manickavasagar says, "As soon as the Lord placed his holy feet upon my head, I renounced all my friends and relatives". He praises Lord Shiva as one who dances in the court of Thillai and who is like a boat🛶 in helping us crossing the ocean🌊 of birth and death. So Manickavasagar instructs us to sing the glory of Lord Shiva and pluck the lily flowers🌷.
🌟INFERENCE🌟
